Military Family Building Coalition

Military Family Building Coalition is the first military support non-profit organization focused solely on active duty military family building education and programs.

We do this by:

● Educating active duty service members and their families about the current military health care fertility and adoption landscape and help them navigate their path to a family

● Educating the American public about this gap in coverage, care and support for military families and what we can do to fix it

● Sharing resources for current military families who are seeking treatment, fertility preservation before a deployment, or adoption assistance to relieve some of their financial burdens

● Partnering with organizations who are pushing for policy change, so that the American public can fully #SupportOurTroops in this most important mission - building a family

Our vision is for an America that supports all active duty military service members to build the families they want regardless of deployment schedules, gender, fertility challenges, or financial situation.

Travis Manion Foundation

This organization helps veterans coach future generations. CDM Mentors build relationships with young adults, helping them develop character and leadership through day-long and multi-day experiences, to include team-building exercises, group discussions and experiential learning challenges. As part of the program, students commit to participating in a service project in honor of fallen heroes.

By sharing stories of real people who exemplify great character and leadership, CDM Mentors demonstrate what it means to live the “If Not Me, Then Who…” ethos – and then challenge students to do the same.

Family Advocacy Program: DoD

The Department of Defense is committed to addressing and ending domestic abuse. The Family Advocacy Program works to prevent abuse by offering programs to put a stop to domestic abuse before it starts. When abuse does occur, the FAP works to ensure the safety of victims and helps military families overcome the effects of violence and change destructive behavior patterns. FAP staff members are trained to respond to incidents of abuse and neglect, support victims, and offer prevention and treatment.

The FAP works to prevent domestic abuse and child abuse and neglect by providing education and awareness programs for all members of the military community:  Classes, workshops, and seminars, New Parent Support Program, Counseling, and Public awareness campaigns.

Formed through the merger of the American Military Partner Association and OutServe-SLDN, the Modern Military Association of America is the nation’s largest non-profit organization dedicated to advancing fairness and equality for the LGBTQ military and veteran community. Through our legal services program, we assist members of the LGBTQ military and veteran community with discharge upgrades, legal name changes and a wide range of other legal issues.
