SWAN Unveils Rebrand with New Website and Logo
New website emphasizes SWAN’s legislative priorities and membership interaction
Washington D.C. – This week, SWAN, a non-profit military women’s advocacy organization announces the launch of a new website.
This new website offers: an interactive mechanism that allows members to directly view current legislation affecting servicewomen, an education section filled with supplemental information on SWAN’s legislative priorities, and a more user-friendly interface. In tandem with SWAN’s new website, SWAN is also revealing a new logo.
SWAN’s new website will feature two brand-new tabs, enabling our members to directly engage with SWAN’s key legislative issues. The first tab, “Education,” will be a one-stop-shop for all information that builds our legislative priorities. Here, our members can find any research, reports, or news stories that directly address SWAN’s advocacy interests. The second tab, “Legislation,” will provide in-depth coverage of SWAN’s evolving advocacy activity, emphasizing the year’s legislative priorities. This website also features updated biographies of our staff members and Board of Directors.
CEO Deshauna Barber says “When we decided to move forward with a new website, we wanted to make SWAN’s mission more transparent and interactive. The new website will have multiple ways for our visitors to interact with our mission; there are opportunities to directly connect to legislation, to representatives, and to educational resources surrounding military women.”
Ms. Barber elaborates, “this past year was a huge growth year for our membership. With this new website, we want to make sure that
our both our longest and newest members understand who we are, what we’ve done, and what we stand for. We are really excited to celebrate this growth with a new, forward-thinking look and feel.”
The new website is located at the new domain name, www.ServiceWomensActionNetwork.org. SWAN will continue to own and maintain the Resource Portal on the former domain site www.servicewomen.org until all SWAN’s vetted and updated resources are transferred to the new site. Additionally, we request that all partner organizations with SWAN’s website and former logo update their platforms to reflect SWAN’s new website and logo (jpg attached). Organizations can use the color scheme that best fits with their organization’s website/colors.
